Monday April 9, 2018 Pullman, WA

1. Do you have any sprouts growing in your little pots yet?

1. No sprouts yet...they take 2-6 weeks to sprout and then like 3 years to get to full size! So it's a long commitment I just entered. 

2. What's your new person's name you have on date for baptism? Tell us about him/her.

2. So their names are William and Viviana. They are both from Cuba/Dominican Republic. But they speak good English mostly. 

3. Are there different missionaries assigned to the WSU campus? Do you get to do anything with Institute?

3. Yes so there are ysa sisters and also a set of elders that cover that side of Pullman so the do the work in that area. We mostly just email at the institute on pdays and that's about it.

Hey so this week was good. We had mlc on Tuesday and then exchanges with the assistants on Tuesday and Wednesday. One of them Elder Christensen is super awesome. He’s one of my friends out here and he's going to Weber State to play football one transfer before I go home.

The rest of the week was good I got to go to Chick Fil'A! For the first time in over 19 months! Crazy, right? It's the only one in the mission.

But this week we have zone conference in Lewiston and back to back exchanges with the district leaders in our zone so it will be busy like usual!

Monday April 2, 2018 Pullman, WA

1. Where did you watch Conference?

1. We watched it at the Institute on campus.

2. What did you think about the new announcements? How do you think they’ll affect the wards you serve in & you as a missionary?

2. You know I think they’re good and will bless the church but I don't think they are that big of a deal. Just little changes that will make things better.

3. We got a picture of you with a family tonight. Did you get to do any Easter stuff?

3. Yeah that was the Carter's. They are awesome. And yeah we did a scavenger hunt. It was fun.

4. Did you get our package?

4. Yeah! Thank you so much! You nailed it on the tie too! Thanks!

5. Did you have a favorite session or talk from Conference?

5. I loved President Eyring's talk about revelation and the talks about forgiveness.

This week was full of miracles. We were able to put another investigator on date for baptism! It's been super rewarding because the work has been slow and hard the past while. It was good to see that my efforts aren’t wasted. It's sometimes hard to write about the cool things that happen out here because they happen so often.

The Lord will provide for those who act in faith. We have to put our faith in him and take the first step sometimes before we see the blessings. But I can’t even tell you the countless times I’ve seen the blessings of our Father in Heaven when people act in faith. He just takes care of their needs.

Monday March 26, 2018 Pullman, WA

1. Did it snow where you are this week?

1. Kinda a tiny bit. 

2. Are you ready for Spring, warmer weather or do you love wearing your coat?

2. I don't think I’ve ever loved wearing coats. I'm so ready for summer!

3. Do you miss any of our food/snacks or meals we would usually have at home or have you forgotten them all?

3. Not too much I still remember the usual stuff. I haven’t had good popcorn in like half of forever though.

4. Dad and I were trying to figure out which Star Wars movies you've missed. Was "The Force Awakens" the last one you saw?

4. Yeah so I missed Rogue One and Star Wars 8 and Solo is coming out soon right?

So this week was good. We worked hard. The only really good thing was that we got a new investigator and have him on date for baptism in May. So it was a successful week.

Some other highlights are that my companion got a bonsai tree kit, so we are growing bonsai trees now. Also we got district t shirts from Old Navy. So it's been a party. I have plans to plant a little indoor garden this year. My comp has a super nice grow light that we can use so it should be a good summer. Well that's about it for me. Love ya!

Monday March 19, 2018 Pullman, WA

1. You sent us a picture of you and an Elder Nelson. Is that someone you live with? Or what?

1. Yeah I live with him. He’s pretty cool. We’re good friends.

2. What was your favorite thing you learned/studied at MLC last week?

2. We talked about doing things in the Lord’s way. It was really cool. Changed my mindset on how I lead people out here.

3. Fill us in on your transfers...

3. So I got a new companion. They shipped off Elder Horman and Roberts to Spokane Valley and sent me Elder Brunt! He’s awesome! A hard worker and really nice. He is from Centerville Utah and he came out 1 transfer before me.

Well this week was good. We worked hard and we stayed busy. We had transfers on Thursday and it went well. We set a lot good goals this week for the transfer for our zone. There were a lot of companionships that got switched up so I’m hoping we can take off in the zone and get some work going!

Well there really isn’t too much to update on just normal stuff. We have a lot of set appointments this week so I’ll let you know how it goes. Love ya!

Monday March 12, 2018 Pullman, WA

1. How was the temple?

1. It was great! Rainy that day, but it was a good trip.

2. How's your new investigator Marie?

2. Well she went out of town for a couple weeks so we haven’t met with her yet.

3. Jesse?

3. He is doing good. Still working towards baptism in August and overcoming addictions.

4. Which friends are you still in contact with? Hadlie says your friend Heather got home this week!

4. Yeah she did! And I still email Logan and Thomas, and Erika and every once in a while Abbey and Tessa. Logan’s mom. That’s mainly it though.

5. Can you send us another video?

5. I’ll think about it.

This week was nuts!!! It was just as busy as I thought it would be. We had mlc on Tuesday and a really busy proselyting day on Wednesday. Then temple trip on Thursday and district meeting Friday. Weekly planning and exchanges on Saturday! So it was a crazy week, but we saw a couple way cool miracles!

When we were on exchanges we found a new investigator! Her name is Peggy. We do this Bible study thing on Saturdays at the old people’s home and it’s kinda fun. She was the only one that showed up and we just came in with our Bibles not expecting to share a Book of Mormon because you know, Bible study. So we read the Bible and then she started asking a bunch of questions and stuff and we were basically answering them straight from 2 Nephi chapter 2. It was crazy but someone (we don’t know who) had just left a Book of Mormon on the table just randomly. So we gave it to her and asked if we could come and teach her more and she was so excited it was sweet!

But that’s pretty much my week. Transfers are this Thursday and I’m pretty sure I’m staying but I’ll let you know when I find out.

 Mission Leadership 

Monday March 5, 2018 Pullman, WA

 1. If you had to pick a highlight of your week what would it be?

1. We got a new investigator this week. I’ll update below.

2. What is your favorite scripture right now?

2. I really like the book of Ether right now. Chapter 6 is good. And chapter 3 is super good too.

3. What was the best thing you studied this week?

3. I’ve been reading Jesus the Christ and its super good. There is a ton of stuff in there that gives you new perspective on the life of Christ.

4. What was the best thing you ate this week?

4. We ate at this pizza place called Selas it’s super good. 

So update this week. We found a new investigator!!! Her name is Marie. She used to teach French at the college. We found her on Saturday and then taught her on Tuesday and she is super solid. I hope she can feel the spirit teach her that our message is true.

Jesse is doing good again. He was sick last week but this week we met with him and he came to church. He is doing great.

This next week will be super busy. We have mlc tomorrow and a temple trip on Thursday and district meeting and then appointments with investigators and exchanges mixed somewhere in there. So it will be a nice busy week.

Monday February 26, 2018 Pullman, WA

1. In this area do a lot of people own dogs? 

1. I would say a normal amount of people do. 

2. Do a lot of people have farm land or bigger property for fields?

2. No not really. There’s a lot of farm land that we are surrounded by but we mostly just work straight neighborhoods.

3. Are you running low on anything we need to send you...Proactiv? Special snacks? Protein powder, etc?

3. Well I stopped using Proactive like 8 months ago. and I’m really good on food. But protein powder is something I could use! Vanilla would be great! You’re the best!

4. What's something that made you laugh this week?

4. So this week just randomly while elder Roberts was in the bathroom we made dummies out of our clothes and hid from him and that was super funny. Don’t worry, he thought it was fun. 

5. What was your most frustrating moment from the week?

5. Just that Jesse’s lesson fell through. I don’t get frustrated too much.

6. When are your next transfers?

6. March 15^th.

Well this week was kinda slower kinda not.  I don’t know, it was just a normal week. We worked hard and did our best. Had a couple of lessons fall through but that’s just another day in life of a missionary.

We have been going out on splits on Saturday mornings with some of the elders in our ward. We have seen miracles from it too. This last Saturday we went out in the snow for an hour and it turned out way good! We found 2 new people to teach in one hour and so that was sweet. One of them just straight up told us that she’s always wanted to learn from us, so that’s really cool and never happens.

That’s pretty much my week. Nothing too exciting. Well, hope you have a good week! Love ya!
